Norris J was born in the inner city of Fort Worth, TX on November 9. He is the second eldest of 4 children. Growing up in a divorced family home, he battled many challenges similar to today's urban teenager, such as low self-esteem, wanting to fit in, street life and peer pressure.
Music was a great escape from the world around him. His love for singing, hip-hop and rapping provided a release of creativity.

Norris was led to Lord at an early age in the Church of God in Christ. As a teenager in the church, he loved the Lord, but knew that "hip-hop [was] the language of the streets". He wanted to reach his peers by engaging them through music they could relate to. He started writing in order to minister the word through music in 1999, which opened doors for him to travel the country as a member of the hit group, 'XFactor'. The duo released a self titled album in 2004. Norris received rave reviews for his writing which definitely ministered to all those who heard their music.

His style is very relevant to pop culture, but the main focus is on praising God. His music includes high-energy praise tunes that make you want to get up and dance, to mid-tempo songs that can transition you into worship. Although his music is geared toward our youth, it touches the lives of anyone in need of encouragement through a positive message. His passion is to be a voice for a young generation, that would meet them where they are and introduce them to Christ through Hip-Hop music.

Norris J. currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex where he is the devoted husband and father to his wife and three children. He is a deacon and faithful member of New Breed Christian Center in Fort Worth, TX under Pastors Darrell and La'Tonya Blair.

Xavier Alexis Andujar (born 12 December 1990) best known as Jettson is a 20 year old singer from Baltimore, MD. He moved to Orlando, FL in 1998 and began gaining an appreciation for music. At the age of 10, his mother enrolled him in an after school music class where he had learned to play the violin. At age 15 Jettson downloaded a program called "Fruity Loops" and began producing beats on his mot...hers laptop. Over time Jettson had began writing to his beats and fell in love with songwriting.

At the age of 16 Jettson formed a rap group with his friend Rodolfo (a.k.a. Pro) called "High Tide". During his time in the group, Jettson went from rapping to singing. He would sing the hooks and bridges while Rodolfo would rap the verses. The group lasted about a year and a half when the two parted ways because of tough school and work schedules. He said the experience opened to his eyes to the music industry and how it works.
Jettson has performed at Sweet 16's and Teen Clubs in the Orlando area within the past year. His internet buzz has gotten the attention of young people from across the world and some Indie music executives.

His debut mixtape, "Bedtime Stories", is set to release in December 2010. The mixtape is produced by The Trackoholics and will available for free download at DatPiff.com. Following the release of the mixtape Jettson plans to release music videos and launch his official website. Look out for Jettson, as he said, "2011 will be a year to remember."

Veronique Chevalier on TheWAIR.posterous.com

166234_484819451133_6660101133_6063317_6870522_n
Veronique Chevalier is the eccentric Françican (Français-American) Chanteuse (Songstress) known as The "Weird VAL" of Dark Cabaret.
.
She's an unparalleled Parodist; a Steampunk-ish Chanteuse, and Spooky Polkanista, who has been described as a campy incarnation of Edith Piaf from a parallel universe - the one in which her parents are Jim Morrison, and Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, and her godparents are Lucille Ball and Weird Al.
.
As a self-proclaimed "Mad Sonictist," she takes maniacal pleasure in combining previously unrelated musical forms into new, unholy combinations. She vows to leave no genre unadulterated in her quest to create the ultimate Sonic Frankenstein...
.
She originated the genre of "Gothic Polka". Her twisted brand of humour hits at the core of daily reality. Being gonged off the premiere season of America's Got Talent (which is FAKE reality) was irrefutable proof her gifts are wasted on the masses.

Kaile Goh on TheWAIR.posterous.com

29981_393143335894_176560360894_4666927_7023594_n

Kaile Goh gives pop an edge. On her forthcoming LAVA/ Universal Republic Records debut, the 15-year-old songstress infuses attitude into each and every tune she writes and sings.

Born in Singapore, Kaile spent her first five years there before moving to Los Angeles. In L.A., she began modeling for Ford Modeling as a kid becoming a go-to face for Disney, Target, Kodak, Mattel, Sony, and others due to her innate, natural beauty and inimitable presence. With the money she made from modeling, she bought a Gibson Hummingbird guitar, which she still constructs all of her songs on.

The songs started pouring out of her at ten-years-old though. Kaile could barely fret the Hummingbird, but her mom would take her to local open mic nights where she would perform originals to stunned audiences of regulars. "Singing is something I never got bored of," declares Kaile. "It's what I was meant to do."

In 2010, she landed a meeting with LAVA president Jason Flom. After playing three songs acoustically for Jason at The Beverly Hills Hotel, he signed her on the spot. Before she knew it, she was in New Jersey with producer David Bendeth [Paramore, Breaking Benjamin] recording her first album. Drawing from influences as diverse as classic rock—The Rolling Stones and The Beatles—and Taking Back Sunday, she and Bendeth crafted a fresh and fiery sound. About working with Bendeth, she elaborates, "I wouldn't have thought about things David suggested. It was incredible to watch him work. He preserved what I was doing but helped me reach the next level."

Linda Brooks on TheWAIR.posterous.com

Image
This is my story, these are my rhymes, this is my moment or two... I just want a chance to follow my joy and see what it might lead me to." Don't we all.

If you haven't seen the documentary "Helvetica" then you may not immediately recognize the origins of this CD's title. Contained within the interviews about the most commonly used typeset in the world, is an explanation that it is not the visual of the letters themselves, but rather, the amount of space between the letters, which makes them so appealing.

Hmmmn, the spaces in between the letters... It came to my attention at a time when I was struggling to make sense of this collection of offerings and their common thread... and there it was... These songs had all been created out of such spaces... those frustrating, heartbreaking, wonderful delays that were not at all part of my master plan... those experiences that gave me time and the colors I would need to develop into the woman, and mother, writer and musician I now am. From rural New Brunswick to a law degree, to dinner theatre, to recording and touring, to motherhood, to writing...to here. Welcome to my music and my website... I look forward to sharing the "beautiful detours" that lie ahead!

Linda Brooks grew up on a family farm in N.B. and has taken anything but a straight path to the release of her second adult contemporary cd. The first recording, "Under A Painted Moon", was a few years back, before the glorious detour of motherhood, but the place she now stands as a writer and performer is one of quiet confidence and a lyrical depth born of life experience and perseverance

The title of this release "The Spaces In Between" was aptly chosen to convey the truth we all eventually discover, that the journey, and not the destination is the thing. She uses her music as a means of sharing her own lessons thus far, in the optimistic belief that we are connected by more than our differences. Brooks doesn't hesitate to reveal herself to her audience as evidenced by the decision to include background notes on each of the songs, giving the listener an even deeper glimpse inside.

Van Muller on TheWAIR.posterous.com

16070

All Van Muller ever wanted was the music.

As a young girl growing up in the countryside of Brazil, Van Muller became enthralled with the music her three aunts introduced her to: Rock N Roll. Muller had the posters on her wall of rock icons and endured long bus trips to catch her heroes live, always dreaming that one day it would be her up on the stage. Inspired early on by the showmanship of acts such as Queen, David Bowie and Madonna, Muller quickly fell in love with the singer/songwriter aesthetic espoused by James Taylor, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and even the Beatles. Muller developed a hunger for American culture that was insatiable, be it for movies, television or the latest hot rock/pop act on the scene.

At the age of sixteen, Van Muller gave up her comfortable country life and moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil to try her hand at modeling and start a band. Her first stage experience as a vocalist was performing cover versions of 1980’s rock hits. Muller took the process seriously, engaging a professional voice teacher and traveling to New York City every chance she got. Eventually Muller made the leap of faith and moved herself to New York, hoping the bright lights of The Big Apple would light the way to her dreams.

Muller’s songwriting style is a mish-mash of sounds, blending the raw rock aesthetic of the Rolling Stones with the sensual oomph of Chrissie Hynde and the casual grace of Sheryl Crow. As a vocalist, Muller commands the mic with the succulent alto of Hynde or Stevie Nicks and the edgy flair of Meredith Brooks. One thing is abundantly clear from the outset, Van Muller is never happier than when she is on stage. Music isn’t just a career for Muller; it’s a way of life. It couldn’t be any other way for a girl who started singing in bars at the tender age of seven. Muller takes her music seriously but is the furthest thing from a diva you could find. While the business of making music is a serious one for Muller, it’s also serious fun.

Van Muller is currently having a blast developing her debut album, Find Yourself Here under the guiding hand of producer/bassist Ken Rich (Joseph Arthur, Ani DiFranco, David Byrne, Shabba Ranks). Muller credits Rich with helping her become more focused as a songwriter. There’s a freshness to the album, as Muller tells stories from her own life, crafting a blend of musical styles ranging from 1960’s to 1990’s rock and pop. It’s as if Muller took all the influences of her childhood heroes, internalized them and has created something new yet with distinctive ties to the past. You’ll be hooked from the opening notes with Muller’s confessorial style, pop sensibility and her amazing voice.

Songwriting hasn’t been Ken Rich’s only influence, however. Rich brought in up-and-coming engineer Tomek Miernowski (The Spring Standards, The Pierces, The Madison Square Gardeners), and helped Muller put together an all-star band. Artists featured on Van Muller’s upcoming album include Ben Butler (Jonatha Brooke, Dar Williams, Mariah Carey, Suzanne Vega) on guitar, Ethan Eubanks (Joseph Arthur, Crash Test Dummies) on drums, Whynot Jansveld (The Weepies, Gavin DeGraw) on bass, Rich Hinman (Roseanne Cash) on pedal steel, Andrew Sherman (Mariah Carey, Brian McKnight) on keys and Time Ries (Rolling Stones) on saxophone. It comes as no surprise, then, that the music behind Muller sounds like it might be played by the house band in Paradise.

In spite all of the allusions to heroes and rock stars, Van Muller is just a girl who fell so deeply in love with music that she gave up her life and changed hemispheres just to make her dreams come true. Even a few minutes of conversation with Muller will convince you that she’s not destined to be a cardboard cutout pop/rock personality. Muller displays the personal grace and pure love of what she does that are marks of the musical elite. Muller has the raw talent to make her dreams come true, and in Ken Rich she has found a mentor with the knowledge and experience to help her turn the straws of talent into gold.

Van Muller is on a wondrous journey. Find Yourself Here is just the starting point; an apt reminder that we all must begin with figuring out who we are. Van Muller has found herself in music; she finds herself again every time she steps upon the stage. Van Muller is ready for the world.
